Located in Duarte, California, the City of Hope is a unique organization that enables the world’s most knowledgeable physicians, researchers, scientists, and health care professionals to conduct research and provide state-of-the-art patient care. The center allows researchers to develop new drugs, conduct clinical trials, and administer these drugs to hospital patients. Researchers refer to this as a “bench to bedside” operation.

The programming, site analysis, and design concept identified the need for a 108,000 gsf building housed in five stories. The project includes research labs, support spaces, and equipment rooms; a radiopharmacy suite; a CGMP-compliant cell production facility; faculty offices; space for post-docs, administrative, and regulatory affairs groups; break/conference rooms. The facility will also house the institute’s graduate school, including the dean’s suite, an auditorium, classrooms, and a dining facility.
